Layout templates used when generating proposals.

What this is for
A template is a page design: where the annual production sits, 40 mm from the top. It carries no project data and no branding. What the production is comes from the document's sources. What "accent" means comes from the team's branding. Swapping the branding restyles every proposal without opening a template.
Templates are team-wide, in the sidebar. A generated document belongs to one project and is reached from it.
Steps
- Open Report templates.
- The list is the team's page designs - page size, how many pages, how many widgets. Proposals in the table is a dash until a document has been generated from that template.
- Get default templates fetches the installation's shipped set. Anything the team already holds by that name is skipped, so it can be pressed twice.
- New template starts a blank. Open a row to lay out the artboard: widgets, snap, the inspector.
- Token glossary is the closed list of tokens a template may contain. Type one into a text or heading widget; braces around anything not on the list refuse to save.
- Pin a template to keep it at the top of the list.
Tips and common mistakes
- Do not put a price or a yield into the template as typed text. Put a token, so every job fills it.
- A production report template needs no financial model. A financial annex does. The generate dialog says so before you run it.
- Deleting a template does not delete documents already generated from it. Those are frozen.
